Week 4 Match updates

Wrecclesham ensured everyone went home happy this weekend with two solid wins for the Firsts and Reserves respectively.

The first team were in action against Old Chertsey Salesians this weekend and took home their first three points of the season with an emphatic 10-0 win. Nick Sims (2), Sheldon Grimes (2), Dave Bridger, Nathan Tull, Shea Fahy, Brendan Taylor, Stephen Wisdon and Ricky Pearce with the goals to get the first win and the team will surely be looking to kick on now and move up the table after an indifferent start to their season.

The Reserves traveled away to Ockham Reserves looking to preserve their unbeaten start to the season, which they did with a solid display. A 2-0 win and another three points ensured the Reserves stay first in Divison 4 after the first quarter of the season. Harry Venables corner was deflected in to the home goal by the defending team to give Wrecclesham the lead in the first half and Jack Falvey provided the second mid way through the second half having beaten the offside trap and the goal keeper to roll the ball into an empty net.

The previous weekend action had seen the first team lose 3-2 to a last minuet goal to Staines Llamas having twice battled back having fallen behind and the reserves were held 1-1 at home by Hersham Reserves with another late goal for the visitors seeing the Reserves drop their first points of the season.
